A randomized, placebo-controlled trial: 67 women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder were randomly assigned to Tribulus terrestris extract (7.5 mg/day) and a placebo for 4 weeks. Conclusion of this study: Tribulus terrestris can safely and effectively improve desire in these women.

A prospective, randomized, double-blind study: Results are mixed and inconclusive on men with erectile dysfunction. The dosage is 800 mg divided into doses of 400 mg, twice a day.

A prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial: This study involved 180 men aged 18-65 with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction , with or without hypoactive sexual desire disorder: 90 were randomized to the TT group and 90 to the placebo group. Dosage: 1500mg per day. Sexual desire seems to have been increased.
