Product Description

Trait or

sodium R lipoate is a stable and bioavailable form of acid lipoic alpha (ALA), an endogenous antioxidant (naturally present in the body). It is credited with health benefits, particularly in the management of oxidative stress. It is synthesized by the body in order to act as a cofactor for numerous mitochondrial enzymes.

The action of sodium R-Lipoate on the mitochondria gives it many health benefits.

* Unfortunately, current legislation does not allow us to communicate on the health benefits Sodium R-lipoate (or more generally on r alpha lipoic acid). We invite you to carry out your research on the scientific reference site: Pubmed. *

It exists in two forms: The natural R form and the synthetic S form.

Alpha lipoic acid exists in two forms called enantiomers: the R form and the S form. R-alpha lipoic acid is the only form that occurs naturally in the body.

R alpha lipoic acid is available in its sodium salt form, a very stable form, much more active, as well as better absorbed. It comes from a patented process which has made it possible to isolate it specifically in order to have a pure product.

It is a powerful antioxidant capable of neutralizing several types of free radicals, because alpha lipoic acid is soluble in water (water-soluble) and in fats (fat-soluble). In other words, alpha-lipoic acid can access any part of the cell to neutralize free radicals, harmful if in too high a concentration. This is why it is called the "universal" antioxidant.

Alpha lipoic acid is also involved in the renewal of other antioxidants, including vitamin E, vitamin C and glutathione, thereby increasing their lifespan and effectiveness. It also has the ability to trap toxic metals such as arsenic, cadmium and mercury.

A healthy body produces ALA in sufficient quantities. However, it seems that in case of diabetes, cirrhosis of the liveror heart disease, the level of ALA decreases.

Advice for use and Dosage

  • Since alpha-lipoic acid can reduce insulin resistance and blood sugar, it is necessary to monitor your blood sugar carefully and tell your doctor so that he can adjust the dosage conventional hypoglycemic drugs, if necessary.
  • The safety of ALA in children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and people with liver or kidney disease has not been established.
  • People taking ALA are recommended to monitor their iron levels, as ALA can scavenge iron (chelating effect).
  • Allow a two-hour period between taking antacids and ALA, due to the chelating effect of the latter

As an antioxidant:Take 1 capsule daily with a large glass of water

For Metabolic Syndrome (Dr. Schwartz Protocol): Take 3 capsules a day with a large glass of water
