Product Description

Iodine is an essential trace mineral that our body uses to create thyroid hormones ( Reference 1 ).

It is found mainly in seawater and soils near the sea. This has become a problem, because modern drinking water and salt are so refined that they are now devoid of iodine. In addition, we have cultivated land in many remote areas of the coast. As a result, iodine deficiency, and thus thyroid disorders, reached epidemic proportions until the government decided to add iodine to table salt in 1922.
Iodized salt is now publicly available, and even mandatory in some countries ( Reference 2 ).

However, 35 to 45% of the world's population does not consume enough iodine! ( reference 3 )

Nutrition information

Directions for use: Take 1 capsule per day during meals with a glass of water.

Precautions: Iodine can interact with medicinal substances, so if you are undergoing treatment, and in particular anticoagulant treatment, we do not recommend that you take iodine. Furthermore, iodine is not recommended for people with a thyroid disorder.

Certain foodstuffs such as thiocyanates (cabbage, cassava and tobacco), perchlorates, nitrates and isoflavones (present in soya) disturb the assimilation of iodine.

Warnings: For adults only. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should be used as part of a healthy lifestyle and not be used as substitutes for a varied and balanced diet. Keep out of reach of children. Not recommended for people with thyroid disorders. Take medical advice in case of anticoagulant treatment.
