Product Description

What is it?

Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid, meaning that our body is able to synthesize it. It is also found in food: meat, eggs, fish, dairy products, certain fruits and vegetables and in legumes
This amino acid is necessary for the synthesis of catecholamines, namely the adrenaline, noradrenaline and L-DOPA (dopamine precursor) (see reference 1). It is also a strictly essential element for the synthesis of thyroid hormones. Tyrosine is also a precursor to melanin (reference 2)
L-tyrosine is the natural form of tyrosine.

Advice of the nutrition expert

@isabelle_fit_

Currently and for a long time, the first prescription given during stress or anxiety was benzodiazepines, an anxiolytic. However, anxiolytics are only "masks" which erase the symptoms of anxiety but do not intervene in any way on the nervous system. In addition, their effect is always temporary and their regular intake can lead to dependence and the appearance of unpleasant symptoms when stopping their intake (anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, tremors. ) Today, nutrition is finally recognized as a form of medication. Taking L-tyrosine during times of stress helps maintain levels of norepinephrine and dopamine, which usually drop during stress and cause fatigue. This type of "medication" is natural, healthy and does not cause any addiction unlike anxiolytics. Plus, L-tyrosine doesn't just cure "the symptoms," it helps prevent fatigue and lessens the effects of stress over the long term.

Tyrosine is a food supplement that is interesting to use for people who are stressed, tired and have a "negative" environment. It can also be used to support thyroid function
